ADOPT-A-UNIT
We need your help to make our Families Feel At Home!

The Adopt-A-Unit Program allows you to help our families directly by providing them with the essential items to furnish their temporary homes at Upward Bound House. By adopting a family’s unit, you make them feel at home and give them a sense a security as they focus on rebuilding their lives, increasing their savings and working towards finding permanent housing. Our families get to take these furnishings with them once they move into their own homes.

How You Can Help

Hold a fundraiser or a drive among a group (neighborhood, work, school, church, etc.) to collect
the funds or supplies needed to furnish the unit/s. -
Purchase the items yourself and come decorate a family’s unit when the need arises.

Donate to the Adopt-A-Unit Program, and we’ll take care of our families’ needs on your behalf.
$1,000 furnishes a single unit of temporary housing for homeless families at UBH.
​
$3,000 furnishes a single unit of temporary housing at UBH for a 12-month period. During this time, the unit will be dressed around 3 times as families exit our programs and new families come in.
​
$6,000 furnishes 2 units of temporary housing at UBH for a 12-month period.
